Comtel has 21 off-the-shelf transmitter types to meet almost every job requirement. Comtel transmitters can be custom made to match the requirements of customers for special applications where standard off-the-shelf sizes, duration, and distance will not meet the job specifications. If special requirements are needed, our transmitters can be configured for either higher power or longer duration at no extra cost.
These are available in both standard (continuous and pulsed) and coded frequencies. Some unique types include very small transmitters designed for production lines, as well as coded types that offer switch selectable codes, such as A-B, B-C and A-C. Tow behind and stand alone carriers are available for our CR-123, 2AAA, 3AAA and 3AA transmitter models and Delrin protective housings are available for AA, C and D types. The picture at the left shows a few of these standard types. Represented are (from left to right standing) a four C cell (TX-4C), a two C cell (TX-2C), a four D cell (TX-4D), a two D cell (TX-2D), a 4D Black Delrin, a three AA cell (TX-3AA) and a three AAA cell (TX-3AAA). Two small transmitters shown in front are (from left to right) a TX-1CR123 (in an optional tow-behind case) and a TX-2AAA (in an optional stand-alone case) .
